Old Wine Bottle Turned Custom Oil Dispenser

Here’s a great way to upcycle an old wine bottle into an oil dispenser or any type of dispenser.  I love this idea as a custom gift for someone special.

Supplies needed to turn an old wine bottle into a custom oil dispenser:

Remove label from old wine bottle and clean.  Goo Gone is great for removing labels.

Using your Cricut Cut Software design a pattern you would like to etch onto your wine bottle.  I was going to put “oil” but I decided on our last name instead.  I figure you can always buy a bottle that says “oil” on it, but it would cost you a bit to get glass custom etched.

Cut your vinyl to shape and cut out your pattern.

Stick the vinyl onto the bottle, being sure that the edges are sealed.

Follow the instructions on the Armour Etch glass etching cream.

Wash off the Armour Etch and stick a spout on the bottle.  I put blue water in there just so you could see the etching, but I will fill it with oil later.
