The end of summer is nearly upon us. Can you believe it? It has really flown by for me, but I know that’s because we have been having a very fun summer!!! I just love the feel of summer with the warm days, beautiful evenings, and long hours in the water. I wanted to create something that you can keep in your home year round to remind you of those warm summer days at the beach. So I decided to make this Starfish Yarn Wreath.

Supplies:

I started my wreath out by covering the wreath form in the yarn. To start, I hot glued the end of the yarn to the back of the wreath.

I pulled out large bunches of the yarn and cut it off the skein to make it easier to manage. I balled up the yarn and wrapped it around the wreath form over and over and over.

I wrapped the wreath form in smaller sections until it was all covered. This process takes some time so patience is key!

Once the wreath was completely covered in yarn it was time to add the starfish! I placed all of the starfish in place and hot glued them down.

I used some white satin ribbon, looped it through the wreath, and tied it off in a bow. Now hanging the wreath is easy and cute!

I love the white starfish against the aqua colored yarn. This would be a great way to display all of those starfish that you have found on your beach adventures.

The starfish wreath would be perfect at a beach cottage or any place you want to bring in that beachy feel. It’s so simple yet so beautiful.
