Create A Cinco De Mayo Flower Pot

Editor’s Note: Since we are still preparing for Earth Day, I tweaked the supply list a little to provide alternate items that you might have around your house to recycle into our festive, Mexican-themed pot. It’s a two-fer!

In honor of Cinco de Mayo, I thought it would be fun to create a flower pot that can later be used for all kinds of goodies:

• lined with plastic wrap it becomes a planter for a live plant;
• filled with wrapped candies it becomes a candy dish;
• lined with fabric and filled with warm buns it becomes a centerpiece for your dinner table; and
• filled with paper shredding and paper flowers, then topped with green moss, it becomes a vase.
