There is nothing like hosting a backyard barbque or a garden party for friends or family! It is wonderful to have those you care about over in the summer months to show off your gardens or just to hang around outside and have some fun! Why not be creative in the process?
I’ve created a special piece for my summer barbque table! This metal flower pot will be the container that holds my dip or salsa for my chips. The best part is that it is super simple to make!
Supplies
KC30-625686 K and Company Greenhouse paper pad
AMT62191 Tombow Multi liquid glue
6552-99 Rustic Tin flower pot
2422-06 Garden Tool set
1966-18 Rhinestone pack
106-1473 Foamie Glitter flower and leaves
Instructions
1. Choose 7 different patterns of cardstock that you want to use. Cut a piece of each that measures 1 1/2″ x 3 1/2″.
2. Use your Tombow Multi liquid glue to attach these strips, evenly spacing around your flower pot. As you attach you will have to hold each strip in place for a couple of minutes until the glue sets. It doesn’t take that long as this is fast drying glue. This glue is also great with paper and metal because it doesn’t ripple the paper and it sticks tight to metal.
3. After you have fastened your papers you will place the foam flowers and leaves. You will want to vary your colors tucking leaves and overlapping flowers as you go as shown. Do this all the way around the upper edge.
4. Now we will add centers to our flowers using the rhinestones, and swirls and circles from our glittered foamie package. Go around the entire pot adding embellishments to your flowers. Remember to layer using the foam circle or swirls first and then add rhinestones to the top. You can also add small flowers to the inside of large flowers if you like!
5. Tie a pretty ribbon on to the handle of the garden space piece from your Garden tool kit.
Now when you are ready to use your pot make sure you place your dip in a glass or plastic container and set it right inside your pot. You will use the garden spade to scoop the dip from the container.
Enjoy your new dip holder. It doesn’t get much easier than that and just look at the lovely piece you have created!

Really cute and (as expected) great instructions. Who wouldn’t love to dip into this pot? But summer is not the time of year to have BBQ’s here in Tucson. We try to hide indoors. LOL! Of course, it’s nice to BBQ the rest of the year.
