From a ConsumerCrafts customer:

I am attempting to make an Egyptian headdress.  I am using 1.5mm metallic craft cord,  & 8mm plastic pearls.  I’m having much difficulty threading the beads on this cord, the ends fray.  It is a good fit once the bead is on, but consuming much too much time and I’ supposed to have 15 of these made by the end of July.  Do you have some tips for me?
I feel your pain! Take a minute before you start beading and add some white glue to the end of your cording. White glue should work fine, and let it dry thoroughly. Use your fingers to work it in an create a “point” that will serve as a beading needle. (Kind of like those little plastic thingies on shoe laces!) Good luck!
