Last week I created a
Boho Chic Bird Necklace. I love everything about this Boho Collection from the colors to the textures. You might have noticed that I have used it several times for my projects and you will probably see more, too! This week, I wanted to show you the earrings I made to coordinate. If you have never worked with jewelry and wires before, earrings are a great place to start. They are small, forgiving and can be completed in a short amount of time. The pair I created below contains just 4 pieces and requires a pair of jewelry pliers.

Supplies:
Directions:
Use your jewelry pliers to open one loop on the flower bead. Place the small copper bead on the opened loop, then use the pliers to close the loop.

Open the loop on the eye pin.
Attach eye pin to ear wire using the opened loop, then use the jewelry pliers to close the loop.

String your large copper bead on the eye pin, then use your jewelry pliers to form a loop. If you need help making loops, check out Vicki’s Wire Loops video on this post for instructions.
Attach the eye pin to the remaining loop on your flower bead to connect the two pieces… and your earring is finished!
Earring Holder
After making the earrings I thought they needed a pretty place to display them. Low and behold, there is a frame in the collection for just that. Naturally, I had to make one. The room I want to keep it in has black furniture. I wanted something to stand out yet blend in. That is when I decided on the Core’dinations paper.

Supplies:
Directions are very easy to follow. Especially with this photo tutorial.

Place frame on worn side of paper and trace.

Lift up frame

Trim around line with scissors

Mark center of frame with pencil

Cut out center piece

Sand paper to bring out texture

Sand off excess paper

Adhere paper to frame. Let dry.
