In case you haven’t noticed, jewelry crafts are a huge trend right now. And when you can make a fun, customized bangle in an hour or so- well, I thing you’ll find these addictive!
Supplies:
- Clear resin bangle (Item 1980-96)
- Copy paper
- Mod Podge (Item PLCS11302)
- Scrappy Cat Stamps (Item SCR475)
- Clear Acrylic Block (Item SCR900)
- Archival Ink Waterproof Stamp Pad (Item RIAIP06633)
- Perfect Pearls (Item RIPPP15987)
- Fine-tip Paintbrush (Item 97668)
- Scrap paper
Start by cutting a strip of copy paper 1 1/4 inch by the width of the paper. (It’ll be a little too long, but you can trim it down later.) Mount the stamps of your choice on the acrylic block and, using the waterproof ink, stamp your images randomly along the paper.

Tap a little of the Perfect Pearls on the scrap paper. Add a few drops of water and presto: you have watercolor paint. Paint in your images and background. I really like using Perfect Pearls for this because the mica particles add a lovely shimmer that looks GREAT behind the bangle.)

When your piece is dry, coat it with a layer of Mod Podge, front and back. Working quickly, press the RIGHT side of the image into the INSIDE of the bangle. Using your fingers, smooth out the air bubbles and make sure that the paper is well-adhered. Let it dry. Follow with a second coat of Mod Podge.

Then, if you like, use a coat of acrylic paint to put one last layer on the inside of your bangle. I like to mix some of the Perfect Pearls with some white paint to make it look more “finished.”
They make great Mother’s Day gifts, birthday presents, “thank-you” gifts for teachers, or use them as a craft for a girls’ party. I bet you’ll make one of these and then decide you want to make more- I certainly did!
Have fun and happy crafting!

TOO COOL!!! Can’t wait till I can come back and really look around. Have not used Mod Podge in years, guess that should change.

ConsumerCrafts does not have the “Clear resin bangle (Item 1980-96)” anymore. Do you know about another source??? THANK YOU! Jana

Sadly, I haven’t found another vendor for these- but I’ll keep my eyes open!

Jenny, do you know the manufacturer/supplier who was selling them to ConsumerCrafts?

Jenny, I have one more question: what acrylic paint would you recommend for the inside of the bangle. I need something clear (like the bangle) and very smooth. I’m afraid that any spray would mess up the whole bangle.
