The new Ball Chain line from Darice includes semi-precious stone and metal beads that are already attached to head pins–which means that you have instant danglers that are easy to add to any jewelry making project! Here, dangler beads and larger metallic ball chain beads are spaced out on a doubled necklace that’s simple to make and easy to wear.
- 3.8mm Silver Ball Chain (2 packs)
- 4mm Silver Jump Rings
- 10mm Metallic Ball Chain Beads
- Metal Dangler Beads – Flowers
- Metal Dangler Beads – Rectangle
- 10mm Round Stone Dangler Beads (2 packs)
- 10mm x 14mm Rectangle Stone Dangler Beads
- Brown Stone Dangler Beads
- Needle Nose Pliers
First, combine the two ball chain necklaces into one long piece: Open up one of the ball chain necklaces by popping one side out of the connector. Do the same to the other necklace, then remove the connector completely and set it aside. Connect the first necklace to the second.
Start at least 3 or 4 inches from the connector and space your danglers out randomly. Occasionally add a metallic ball chain bead between danglers for additional interest. Note that some of the danglers, like the rectangular stone beads and some of the smaller metal beads, will hang better if you attach them with a jump ring.
Once you have added as many danglers and metallic beads as you’d like, use the connector that you set aside in the beginning to finish the necklace.
Note: Special thanks to our friends at Darice for this awesome and easy project idea. The top picture is theirs (used with permission) and we took the step out photos as we recreated this pretty necklace for ourselves.Google+
