DIY Jeweled Rosette Headband

Being the crafty kinda chica that I am, I am often asked to make pieces for weddings, showers and parties. Sometimes the people know exactly what they want and are very specific. Other times, they say we are open to your ideas. When a friend approached me about head pieces for her bridal party, I was very excited. She is very fashionable and daring. The only guidelines she gave me were oranges and pinks – but not pastels and either clip-in pieces or headbands. This is what I came up with and she loved it.

If you are planning a wedding you can get together with your bridesmaids and make them yourselves. You only need a few materials:

To get started take the headband out of the package and open up. Separate the two pieces. Play around with the way you want the flowers arranged.

Once you have your arrangement figured out, place a small dollop of adhesive on the back of the flower.

Adhere the flowers on the single black felt piece. Let the adhesive dry while you make the beaded sprays.

To make the beaded wire sprays, cut a 12 inch piece of wire and place a bead in the center.

Hold the bead in one hand and the wire in the other and twist the bead.

Place another bead(s) on wire and twist again.

Keep repeating this step until you have 3-5 branches for each spray. Make 3 sprays for the head band.

Test out where you would like to place the sprays on the headband.
After you have decided the placement for the sprays, run a line of glue on the base of the headband. Place a few extra dollops where the sprays are going to be located.

Place the top piece felt piece with the flowers on the base. Set aside and let dry.

You now have a beautiful customized headband, perfect for bridesmaids or any day you want to jazz up your outfit with a cute accessory!
