Mixed Media Photo Frame Necklace with Earrings

I was inspired by my Freshwater Pearl Necklace with Fabric Rose Accents and wanted to make another rather girly necklace but with different supplies, so I went hunting through the Consumer Crafts website and this is what I came up with.

Supplies:

Choose an image from the Pretty and Playful Project Book, cut to size and insert into the frame.

Remove the hairpin and comb portion of the two Victoria Lynn pieces with heavy duty wire cutters.

Cut chain to desired length.

Add three bicone beads to an eyepin and create a simple loop. Repeat to make a second.

Cut the chain and insert the two eyepins with bicones as shown. Close the loops.

Add a clasp.

Glue the rhinestones to the bottom of the frame and the flower shaped hairpin to the top left corner. Let dry thoroughly.

Once that is dry, use flat nose pliers to get the “teeth” of the comb as flat as possible.

Glue the comb to the bottom, back of the frame. While the glue is drying, use a piece of tape to hold the comb securely to the frame.

For the earrings I simply used:

Add a bicone to a ball pin and create a wire wrapped loop over the hoop earring. Add three of these to each hoop.
I’m generally not a very girly girl but I’m madly in love with these pieces. What about you? What kind of jewelry do you prefer to wear?
