There’s Still Time for Your Back-to-School Crafter’s Challenge Entries!
Did these last couple weeks of summer vacation get away from you? We completely understand. We were lucky to have finished our back-to-school shopping in time!
To ensure that all of our crafters have the time they need to create truly inspired entries, we are extending the deadline for Back-to-School Crafter’s Challenge submissions to Friday, August 31st.
What does that mean? It means you still have plenty of time to win our $150 Grand Prize! And since the kids are back in school, you don’t have to worry about being distracted while you’re trying to craft your prize-winning creation.
We have received a lot of interest in our contest and would like to further clarify a few things to help better inspire your contest submissions:
Q: Can any size or style paper bag be used? For example, could I use a paper grocery bag?
A: Yes, as long as you use a brown paper lunch bag, the size is totally up to you. A grocery bag is an acceptable choice, as long as it is brown and paper. Any writing on the bag will not affect your entry’s chances of winning.
Q: Is the craft we create supposed to be something that kids can make?
A: No, it is not a requirement to create a kid’s craft project. As long as you incorporate one of the required back-to-school supplies, your submission will qualify. However, if you want to involve your children, we think that’s great!
Q: Do we need to use the exact type of pencil box shown via the ConsumerCrafts website?
A: No. While ConsumerCrafts is a great resource for pencil boxes and other contest entry supplies, using our materials is not required.
Q: Does this craft need to be made from scratch, or can I submit something I made previously?
A: Personally, we love taking any opportunity to come up with new craft ideas and projects, but if you already made a project that fits the required criteria, you are welcome to re-use it. We know back-to-school can be a busy time!
Q: Can more than one paper bag and/or pencil box be used in the craft design?
A: Yes, please use as many paper bags and/or pencil boxes as you see fit for your design.
Q: I feel that my craft needs to be viewed at different angles – can I send in more than one picture?
A: Yes. Upon receiving your entry, we will do our best to display your craft using more than one picture if necessary. Please limit photos to three or less.
