Painted Holiday Cards

Today, I sat down to paint Holiday Cards and to my surprise my children wanted to paint some of their own, too. At first I wasn’t sure but as my children often do they blew me away with their creativity!

To make our Christmas Cards we used Liquitex Basics 48 Tube Acrylic Paint Set and Darice’s Blank 5 x 7 Cards.

I covered our kitchen table with paper and we began to paint. I gathered gift tags, wrapping paper, and gift boxes to use as inspiration.

We had a wonderful time painting the cards and discussing the family members that we would be sending them to. The kids even discussed painting some for their teachers, without prompting. Way to go guys!

When I first decided to paint my own holiday cards I wasn’t sure how they were going to turn out. I pictured myself lonely at the table mass-producing cards. But with the help of my children the experience was awesome and I think will be a new holiday tradition for us!

Once the cards dried my children signed their artwork and helped me write inspirational holiday messages inside.

Looking for something personal to place gift cards in?  Personal painted holiday cards are extraordinary  holders for gift cards.  Family members, especially grandparents, love receiving personalized artwork from their grandchildren.  Best of all kids will feel like they are part of the gift-giving!
