Kids Craft Idea: Ice Cream Spoon People Felt Rollup

This little project comes as a result of seeing all the spoon people designs floating around the Internet.  I wanted to make something similar, but smaller and more compact.  When I saw these little ice cream spoons on consumercrafts.com, I knew I had my medium.

It’s the perfect kids craft for the winter months! When the kids are cooped up, this little spoon people village is a fun and entertaining activity.

The first thing you will need to do is pick two pieces of felt for your rollup.  They can be the same color or different.  Cut one piece by two thirds lengthwise with your rotary tool or scissors. The rotary tool comes with the blade safely tucked away (see below).

Surprised Spoon Person Amy Renea at A Nest for All Seasons Craft IdeaI attached a piece of ribbon as a finishing touch, along with two ribbons that will tie into a bow when the rollup is rolled up!

Fantastic play thing for little kids, (can adults play too?), it really looks like so much fun. Wonderful way for kids to exercise their imagination (and grown ups too). Grown ups tend to forget how to play too often.
Great post, enjoyed it so much. Kinda like playing with paper dolls, I used to love them, still do.
Need to go, watching the Waltons, talk about taking a person back, never seem to get tired of watching episodes I’ve seen many times. Alot of those were about times in my life, I was born in 1940.
    Happy weekend
