Keeping with the same vein of making gifts extra special, here are a few simple ways to decorate your gifts.
First up: Think special with simple tags. There are tons of different tags out there (see here) and you can also make your own out of cardstock, sprucing them up is easy! I used a Martha Stewart leaf punch and punched out several leaves in sparkly Core’dinations paper. Arranging the red, green, and white leafs artfully makes a simple, yet bold statement. Great on wine bottles, stocking stuffers, and other smaller scale items.
Use festive punches to create ribbon that’s uniquely your’s. Your gift recipients will think this is expensive ribbon, when really it’s store bought, adding an easy embellishment, and giving it a stand-out appeal. I used a large star punch on this average satin ribbon to give it some extra flair. Use on all sorts of gifts, large and small.
Next up: Add pom poms in holiday colors to anything that you desire. The poms give extra texture to your packages to add visual appeal. I attached my pom to a reusable bag for an added bonus once the gift is opened.
Use the pom pom maker and choose a pom size that fits the package your attaching it to. I also used the Sizzix Texture Boutique with the Christmas folders to make an embossed snowman tag. This tag made for a place to write a message, while also adding extra texture.
Poms can be added to anything; garlands, your tree, packages- they make everything look good!
Don’t just give a gift card as is, decorate it and make it personal! Use a blank card as a back drop and cut small slits to fit the gift card. Use Core’dinations paper to make it lively, and stick with the same paper inside to keep it cohesive. Write a small personal message, and your recipient will feel like you put in extra effort to make them feel extra special.
Add these festive touches to any ol’ thing to make them look instantly great- use your imagination, and a little sparkle, to make any gift become extraordinary.Google+
