Burlap and Lace Candle Vase

I adore burlap and lace together, I think the combo is absolutely beautiful. Pre-pinterest days I would have never thought to use them together for my Fall wedding and now I see burlap incorporated into wedding decor a lot. While I don’t have a wedding to plan, I do enjoy using burlap during the Fall season. These burlap and lace candle vases are perfect for a Fall tablescape and even a wedding reception.

To make them you will need:

Start by cutting your burlap into strips, wide enough to cover the entire vase or just a portion of it. My pieces were 1 1/2 inches by 10 1/2 inches.

Wrap the burlap around the vase then glue the ends together, slightly overlapping.

Then, select the lace ribbon you would like to add. I decided to use the large scalloped edge ribbon. I like that it’s elastic which means I can use it for home decor projects, scrapbooking, and to make headbands as well.Glue the lace around the burlap, again, slightly overlapping the edges. Then using a glue gun add the pearl embellishments and you’re done!

Are you getting excited about Fall? Do you incorporate burlap into your Fall decor?
