Hey guys, it’s Crystal here again with another Black & White Halloween project. As I mentioned in my chalkboard pumpkin tutorial I’m decorating with a black & white glam theme this year. Just a few weeks ago I was counting down the days until September so that I could start decorating for Halloween, now I can’t believe Halloween is a month and a half away! My goal is to have my house completely decked out with Halloween decor by October 1st. This spooky lantern is the latest edition to the decor and possibly my favorite so far!
Supplies needed for this spooky glam Halloween decor project:
- Lantern with LED Candle
- Spider Webs & Spiders
- Double-sided Hercules Tape
- Pendant - I used the Four-Petaled Crystal Flower Pendant
I took this plain black lantern with an LED candle inside then turned it into a spooky, glam lantern filled with spider webs. Just a note: add the batteries to the bottom of the lantern first to avoid having to turn your lantern upside down after it’s been decorated. Not that I would know from experience.
I then added a bow to the top of the lantern with some scrap ribbon I had leftover from another project. I had just enough to make long tails on the bow. You could tie the ribbon to the lantern’s handle, glue it on with hot glue, or use a less permanent version like I did and use the Hercules tape. I’m telling you, this tape has a great hold! I did this so that I could avoid damaging the paint on the lantern and it can be reused for Christmas.
I then glued the pendant onto the center of the ribbon for an added “glam” look. I’m quite pleased with my black and white collection so far and think this lantern makes a great addition.
Have you pulled out your Halloween decor yet?
