Baking happens to be one of my favorite activities, especially to do with the kids. I have great memories baking with my mother during my childhood. Which is probably why I now enjoy baking with my own children. With the recent release of Little Venice Cake Company I was excited to try a few new products with the kids. In the spirit of Halloween we made mini Halloween cakes.
Supplies to make mini Halloween cakes:
- Deep Circle Cutters
- Candy Melts
- Pound Cake
- Sprinkles
We used the deep circle cutters for our mini Halloween cakes, but the possibilities are endless with the cutters. You could stack them and make mini wedding cakes and even use them for a first birthday smash cake. Our initial plan was to make petit fours with the pound cake but this was a spur of the moment change and we love the way they turned out.
Begin by cutting your pound cake to the desired thickness. Once your cakes are cut frost them with icing or in our case use candy melts like you would with cake pops. Pour the melted candy melts on top, using a spatula to spread if needed. Then add sprinkles, cupcake toppers, or other decorations to finish them off.
These mini cakes are very easy to make and perfect for parties.

I love this. Please link it to my linky party & anything else you have to share.

I think I need those cutters now!
These are adorable.
GREAT idea!!
Love this idea. Who knew they’d be so simple to make. I’m already thinking Thanksgiving, Christmas and Valentine’s Day (Heart cutout would be cute).
Need to check out local baking supply company for the cutters.
These are soooo cute, my family would love these!
