Rudolph Nose Replacement Kit Stocking Stuffers

Stocking stuffers – kids love them, especially when candy is involved.  As a child, I used to get LifeSavers and Malted Milk Balls in mine.  I like to make gag gifts for my son and he likes to give them to his friends, too.  We had a few left over tubes from our Halloween slime project so we decided to make replacement kits for Rudolph’s nose.  Sour cherry balls fit perfectly in the tubes.  My son did most of this project while I addressed Christmas cards. This craft would also be a great classroom treat.

Materials needed to make your own Rudolph nose replacement kits:

• White Cardstock
• Paper Trimmer
• Clear Plastic Tubes
• Clever Lever Scallop Punch
• Treat Bags
• Tim Holtz Distress Ink
• Adhesive of your choice
• Glitter Glue

To make the fun kids stocking stuffers:

Open and print the Rudolph printable by clicking here: Rudolph Printable.  Print the page on white cardstock then use your paper trimmer to cut apart the Rudolph images and text separately.  My son is 9 and can do this on his own.

Use the Marvy Uchida Scallop Punch to punch out Rudolph.

My son used Distressing ink to color the edges of the poem and the scallop circle. Once you have the pieces cut and inked, cut a piece of pattern paper a 1/4 of an inch larger than the poem and also twice as long. You are going to fold the pattern paper in half to make a topper for the bag. Adhere the poem and the image to the front of the topper. Fill the tubes with the sour cherries and then place in a treat bag.

Adhere the topper to the treat bag.  For an added sparkle, use glitter glue to make accents in the corners and a sparkly nose for Rudolph.  There you have it – a quick and easy kids stocking stuffer made by a kid for a kid.
