15 Minute Reversible Banner

15 Minute Reversible Banner | Tried & True for Crafts UnleashedI’m sure there are times when you have hours and hours to devote to a project (I so envy you!) but more than likely, that’s not the scenario most days. If you’re like me, you probably have a few minutes before the kids wake up to desperately get your craft on. Here’s a quick craft that will allow you to stretch your creative muscles and still have time to fix breakfast!

15 Minute Reversible Banner | Tried & True for Crafts UnleashedFor the theme of this banner, I went with St. Patrick’s Day on one side and Spring on the other. St. Patrick’s Day is always hard to decorate for since it’s right before Spring/Easter and most people don’t want to make decorations that you’ll have to take down so quickly. This reversible banner is an easy answer. After the pinching is done, all you have to do is flip it around and the banner still works for Spring!

Supplies needed to make this 15 minute reversible banner craft:

Instructions:

1. First things first, you’re going to have to decide what you want your banner to say. I used 7 flags with “Lucky” and two clovers on one side and “Happy Spring” on the other. Just in case you’re wondering why my math doesn’t add up, the entire word “Happy” was written on one flag with “Spring” on the remaining six. Use the Dritz Disappearing Ink Pen to write out your message. Don’t worry about mistakes, they’ll disappear! :)

15 Minute Reversible Banner | Tried & True for Crafts Unleashed3. If you have any mistakes you want to remove quickly, just use the Spectrum blender marker. The alcohol in the marker removes the disappearing ink like magic!

So, you can draw another design on the back! Just make sure you flip the banners accordingly. For example, the “L” in “Lucky” would be on the “N” in “Spring.” Does that make sense?

15 Minute Reversible Banner | Tried & True for Crafts Unleashed6. Ok, you’ve colored in all your mini flags and now it’s time to quickly attach the Baker’s Twine. First, cut a piece of the Double Sided Hercules Tape (1/4″) to fit across the top of each flag and remove one side of the protective plastic. Separate the two layers and stick tape in place (step 1). Repeat with each flag (step 2). Remove the last piece of plastic from the tape and sandwich an appropriate sized piece of twine in between the layers (step 3). Press to secure and repeat with each flag (step 4).

15 Minute Reversible Banner | Tried & True for Crafts Unleashed7. And that really is it. Hang the “Lucky” side anywhere you want a St. Patrick’s Day blessing and then come March 18th, just flip it around to welcome Spring!
