New Year’s Eve Party Free Printable

New Year’s Eve for us usually consists of a few board games, snacks, and the kids desperately trying to stay awake to watch the ball fall at midnight. The little ones usually don’t make it, but we always have a fun night anyway. One of our traditions is to photograph the kids and have them write down some of their favorite things from the past year and about themselves. I began this tradition when my oldest was four and have enjoyed looking back over the years seeing how much he’s grown. This year, I thought it would be fun to create a photo booth with props for their yearly New Year’s Eve photographs. I also created a free printable to use for our display.

The free printable is sized as a 4×6, but I was able to print it at home on 8×11 paper as well. You can download the image to print at home or send to your local photo lab.

Happy new year's eveFor the props, I used my Silhouette Cameo, cardstock, and striped straws. I’m not sure who created the striped straw idea but I think their uses are endless! I love the different colors available and they’re perfect for just about any occasion.

paper strawsOnce I had my props cut, I used a dab of hot glue to glue the straws onto them. My kids caught a glimpse of them on the counter and have already asked to play with them. I have a feeling I’ll end up making a few new props before New Year’s Eve arrives. :)
